The code's days go on the account number at the top of this page. No number yet? Leave that box empty and we will make one for you. A number we don't have on record is refused, and the code stays good. Each code works once.
We store only a one-way hash of an unused code, and delete it when the code is used. The live database has no link between a code and an account, but we keep nightly backups for up to 14 nights, and comparing two of them could show which account gained time when a code was used.
Each account works on up to 5 devices at once. Remove one to free a slot - that device will disconnect. A removed device that still has your account number can rejoin and take a slot again, so removing a lost phone does not lock it out.
